Meet Our Designer . . .

For many years now, I've been involved in sewing and making crafts.  I remember learning how to sew from my mother at an early age.   Nearly a generation later, when my daughters were given their first American Girl dolls, I decided to try my hand at sewing for dolls.  It was clear that I had uncovered a hidden talent by the way that my girl's faces would light up for each new doll outfit that I'd finish.   My love for sewing and my success at making doll clothes inspired me to open this online store. While still sewing apparel for American Girl dolls, I've since expanded to include other dolls, my favorite of which being the adorable Ann Estelle.  

All of the fashions that you will find on this website are sewn by me in the studio attached to our home in Milwaukee Wisconsin.   Giving me a helping hand is my husband Jim who runs the website and handles the photography.   And of course, my work is critiqued on a regular basis by my daughters Sarah and Mary shown in the photo below with our cat 'Pepe Lepew'.   Although Pepe is not much of a help, he often keeps me company as I sew.
